About Us

Journey of Hope Yoga studio is a non-profit Christ-centered yoga ministry in Holland that provides a welcoming, safe presence, and space for those who have experienced difficult life situations.

We welcome those who are in recovery from depression, anxiety, chronic illness, addictions, trauma, domestic violence, co-dependency, or grief.  This includes all of us, we have all experienced life hurts.    Research shows the practice of yoga is highly effective in moving people towards wellness.  Yoga balances the mind and the body through movement, focus, mindfulness, and breath control. It is a way to reduce anxiety, depression, and aid in sleep by activating the parasympathetic nervous system. Yoga improves cardiovascular health, lowers blood pressure, reduces inflammation, and eases chronic arthritis by improving joint health.

Our focus at Journey of Hope Yoga is to promote healing and hope.  We are here to encourage, support, and connect by providing weekly classes and meetings that are entirely donation based.  Our typical class involves a devotional time, prayer, and body practice. We are also offering gender specific practice opportunities. It is our hope that through this service and ministry people will experience God’s love and come to a place of inner healing that only God can provide.
